About the workshop

General information

This workshop is the 11th annual meeting of PhD students and Postdoc researchers in Bioinformatics in Sweden. This year, it is organized jointly by two groups at Lund University: the Computational Biology and Biological Physics (CBBP) group at the Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics and the Microbial Ecology section of the Department of Biology.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for young researchers to meet, exchange ideas, and keep up to date with the growing body of knowledge - a very important objective given the rapid development in the field. The workshop is an excellent opportunity for young scientists to present and discuss their work, and so to gain valuable experience and feedback.

The workshop will address both theoretical questions and applications to biological problems. In addition to presentations given by participants, there will be keynote talks from specially invited speakers, and also a poster session.

The workshop will be held in Fysicum, lecture hall A (Sölvegatan 14), about 15 minutes from the city centre and the train station. The poster session will take place in the lobby outside the lecture hall.

Note: The workshop is free of charge for eligible participants!
